CIPDP and Tulwoob Koony Radio jointly donated 1000 tree seedlings during National Tree Planting Day 2023. This was undertaken in collaboration with Bungoma County government and the National government, aligning with the vision of the president, H.E William Samoei Ruto to plant fifteen billion trees by 2032.
The tree planting initiative is aimed to contribute to the government’s broader agenda of mitigating the effects of climate change. The commitment to environmental sustainability was evident as Radio staff actively participated in the tree planting exercise.
One of the noteworthy tree planting exercises took place at MwaiMwai Dispensary in Elgon Ward. It not only marked the National Tree Planting Day but also served as a testament to the power of collaborative efforts between government bodies, NGOs, and the private sector in driving positive change at the grassroots level.

As the tree seedlings take root and grow, it is expected to leave a lasting impact on the landscape of Mt.Elgon. The success of this initiative serves as a model for future partnerships that prioritize environmental sustainability, community well-being, and the realization of broader national goals.
